No, I don’t play hockey and it has been a very long time since I have been on skates for any reason. ? I have a Christmas project I have been working on and these will really help! I am making an army, (bunch, choir, gang?), of angels. Decades, (and decades), ago I saw a craft pamphlet at a fabric store where you collect some foam body type pieces and round head shapes. Dip some cheese cloth in starch, and drape the wet cloth over the body shape, arranging the folds in a dress or robe fashion, and let it dry. Glue the head on the body as well as some wings. You can add hair or a halo, or whatever you want. I thought they looked pretty cool and always wanted to make them.A couple of years ago I saw some wine corks with fairy lights attached. You put the lights in an empty, clean and dry wine bottle, and turn the lights on. The pictures were really pretty. I thought it might be fun to use the lights in bottle idea but turn them into angels. I have been collecting and cleaning bottles and am almost ready to make some angels but needed some heads. I saw these ‘hockey stick handle pucks’ and thought they were perfect so I ordered them. Love the wood!I am very excited to use these wood balls and make my troop of angels. I am keeping the wood balls contained in the netting until I start. Now I need more of different sizes!
